She is a silver cat with little flecks of orange and white in her. The pictures are kinda yellowish because I took them in the birthing box when she had this last batch of kittens.

Scrapbook page share Dizzy
Here is a scrapbook page I made of Dizzy. She is/was such a sweet cat. She has been missing for about 5 days, and we are expecting the worst. Hopefully not, but usually kitties have a way of taking off when it's there time. I have always wondered why they do this, and where exactly it is that they go...

Quickie Card!
Just a quickie card for you! The rose is done with an embossing template. Once it was embossed I water colored it. It loses some of its prettiness when you scan it, but you get the idea.
The outside is popped up, it is a frame made over from a leftover punch out. The rhinestones are green and pink, once again, it doesn't show up so well.
Anyways, it was a quick card, hope you like!

Twisted Paper
Ok, my scanner is scanning way lop-sided. Maybe its me! :0) Anyways, sorry for the lop pictures! This is a technique I call, Twisted paper.
You can see it at the top of this card in the green and in the card below in the purple.
What you do is you cut you a strip of paper, 1/2 inch thick. You ink up the edges on both sides. Then, you take one end, and about 1/2 inch in, you fold the strip like you are trying to make a square. You turn the paper over and fold the strip down the edge you just folded. (picture what you do with straws at the restaurants when you are waiting for food...) Or, remember when you took two pieces of paper and fold them over and over each other? Same principle, just one strip. You keep folding it over and over, making sure that you fold right next to the last fold, keeping it square and then when you are done, it will be a straight twisted paper, like a ribbon!

Happy New Year!
I used Circle Circus from SU, and used crystal effects to make it shiny and glossy. I used black brads and then used the crystal effects over them too, to make them shiny and stick out more. The card itself is red, I scanned it with a black background, sorry its lop-sided in the picture!
Hope you like!

Winter Outside
Well, I made this splendid watch for my Grandma for Christmas. She loves blue...hmmm...I really don't care for blue, but that is her favorite, so I went searching for blue beads. I found this really pretty face, and then I found the big blue swirly beads! I put it all together and then I hated how it looked, so went looking again for more beads.
I couldn't find anything that worked.
I was really bummed until I remembered the bag of broken necklaces I found in the house when my grandma moved from here. I went and got them and sure enough! One of the necklaces had those little blueish beads. YES!!
So here is her watch, and it is made with beads from a necklace she broke! How perfect is that??
I gave it to her and forgot to take a picture for you. I went to her birthday dinner with her the other nite (88) and I asked her why she wasn't wearing the watch. It was too big for her little skinny wrists! So, I reworked it. I took out the diamond shaped bead in the center, and one of the swirly ones there too. Then at the front of the watch, near the clasps, I removed the clear ones on both sides. So removed 6 beads...it should fit her now!

Hot Rolls!!!
I am all for simple! Love fresh baked bread, especially when it doesn't take hours to make. I was checking out my Auntie's Blog, and she had these wonderful rolls she had made! Of course I had to make some!!
As you can see, they didn't make it out of the oven for even a minute before the boys grabbed and ran. I almost didn't get the butter on the top!
They are made with potatoes flakes!
Here's the recipe, I'll share with you!
In mixer, add 4 1/2 tsp yeast
1/2 C sugar
1 C instant potato flakes
1 tsp salt mix these ingredients:
Add:
2 1/2 C very warm water
2 beaten eggs
1 stick melted butter
6 cups of flour
Mix in mixer for about 3 minutes... dough is kinda sticky, will pull away from the sides of the machine.
I oil my counter up, plus my hands, then I pinch dough off, about a little bigger than a golf ball. You put one roll of dough in each hand, and on top of the greased counter, you roll the dough in your hands, you cup them, and roll. (in circles kinda like you are doing the what coconut is holding the hidden dice game!) They come out round and perfect! I learned this trick working as a head cook in the school lunch room!
Put the rolls on a cookie sheet, 4 down, 6 across, makes 24 rolls.
Let rise until double in size. I preheat the oven with a glass of water on the bottom, to 200 degrees. Turn off oven and put rolls in to rise. When big enough, Turn your oven on to
400 degrees and bake for 15-20 minutes. (mine took 17)
Hope you enjoy!!
