Sneak Peek Revealed!

I had so much fun making these cards.  When I first got the stamp, I have to admit, I was a little disappointed.  I was really, really hoping for a witch.  But, then I stamped with her.  Oh, how I love her!!  So on to my cards!
This is my first one I did.  I used the orange tissue paper that the Halloween Kit from Kraftin Kimmie wrapped everything in.  The sayings, papers and twine were also in the kit. I wanted to use original Halloween colors on her.  I colored her with Spectrum Noir markers....around my 5th time using them.
Here was my second go of her.
This little black bag she is on top of came in the kit holding the twine and sequins.
She's cute huh!
My third one... reversal of colors, and white skin....
Those orange flat marble dots came in the kit also.  These guys are also colored with Spectrum Noir markers.  I used my new Stampin UP! Punch to do the saying with.

And, my final card, well, she begged doing in Pink....

Yes Pink.  These papers were from my stash, but the dots were in the kit as well as the green doily.  Hope that you enjoyed what I did with her, as I know I did!!
You can pick her up at the KKS shop.  Jump on over!

Sneak Peek!!

Hello!!  Today I am doing something fun!!  I get to do a surprise peek of an upcoming stamp for Kraftin Kimmie Stamps!  The artist is Annie Rodrigue so I am sure that you will all love it!!  I made several different cards with it, and here is a sneak at 2 of them! The stamp set is called Grim Gretchen!
I got mine from a kit I ordered over at KKS and everything you see in the cards I made, came from the kit.  I colored her up with Spectrum Noir markers.  I am new at them, so just learning!
Here is a close up of her in purples and greys.

First Day of School, Fair and Painted Harvest Stampin Up!

Hello!  So, some things to share, first off, my youngest is a big senior this year.  He has had a few rough years and so this year, when he got up on his own, showered, made breakfast and came and got me for pictures, I was really surprised, completely happy though!!  So here he is...
This is his truck, that is named Tank.  He just got glasses and is happy about it.  Something about being able to finally see the board... :)

Then, we went to the fair this Labor Day.  I have a thing for fairs.  I love them, they are much better than Christmas ever thought of being.  My favorite thing is the pigs.  (then the goats and the pumpkins, and the canning, and art and....)  So here is a few piggies for you!
Pig snoopies are the best.  I rubbed at least 12 of them!!!
Baby piglets!!  They were not there the whole fair, so I was luck to see them!
 Nice tusks on this one!
Then I got a new stamp set from Stampin Up!  It is Painted Harvest.  I love sunflowers and so, well...
These color combos were pretty cool, Peakaboo peach and cherry cobbler, crushed curry and cherry cobbler, calypso coral and cherry cobbler and then crushed curry and calypso coral.
I used their little pizza box, and used Tim Holtz Distressed Oxide inks and sponged it and then clear embossed on it.  This sunflower was stamped in Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze.  Leaves are Wasabi.

Inside I did the same and made 6 little cards with envelopes.
But I really liked this card... I found it on Pintrest here.... I changed the colors around and did a little of my own thing and I think it turned out pretty good.
I used Calypso Coral and then Cherry Cobbler, then I stamped a second time over it with the Calypso.  I used Old Olive and Lemon Lime twist for the leaves and Soft Suede for the saying and centers.

Things I've been working on....

Since its been awhile, there have been a lot of things I have done, but haven't shared.  I will try to share a few with you.
First, I have been taking Marker and Pencil classes over at Kit and Clowder.  I love her!  So this is my first card I made using one of my classes.  Just below is the leaves in one of my classes, and my first attempt at markers.  Everyone is using Copic markers, but I have not the $ for them, so I am trying my luck at Spectrum Noirs.  The are a little different, they have a bullet nib instead of a brush,  and the ink is more pigmented, but I think I did ok.
Here is my second go at this marker business.... the image here is from Marcella stamps.
Since I've been gone, my son has gotten a dog.  Her name is Natasha Gorgongorski.  She is a miniature schnauzer.  She is darling.

These are some little egg carriers that I made for Easter.  I used cad-bury miniature eggs in them.

Eclipse!

We were in direct path of totality for the eclipse!  They kept giving hype about it saying that 500,000 people were going to come.  I didn't believe it, but a lot of people did come.  My cousin who lives 50 miles away, took her over 41/2 hours to get home afterwards.
The strangest thing though is our neighbors across the street left and when they did, some random people pulled up and onto the middle of their lawn to watch the eclipse....okaaaay.  They left as soon as it started to come out of totality.
SO, I don't have a fancy camera, but here is what I got.
Shadows from the leaves, before totality, and then the double shadow of myself.

Hunter, ready for it, but not enthused.

Just for fun, my hubby acting like the poser, because he got his canoe loaded....

Very silent all around.  The dogs stopped barking, the chicken started roosting.  It was this color 360 degrees around us. Then the neighbors started shooting shot guns, and the other neighbors started fireworks...and everyone was whooping and hollering.  People are so weird.

My weirdo's staring at the eclipse....

 Leaves after totality.
